We aim to make Alsion a more sustainable place

Green Alsion

is an initiative that strives to implement the green transition for a major public site in the very south of Southern Denmark, Alsion, which hosts cultural events, research, innovation and education in the same building. The initiative unites the joint efforts of the University of Southern Denmark at Sønderborg, the South Jutland Symphony Orchestra, the Business Academy Southwest , a Science Park and the restaurant facilities of Dinner DeLuxe.

This is both exciting and challenging because Alsion, with its diverse activities, installations and user structures, is almost like a small urban environment itself. A lsion is thus the perfect testbed for studying the development of sustainability in a controlled setting. The building and its inhabitants engage in testing different forms of energyand consumption reduction, behavioural change and more.
